National League Rugby is sad to announce that former executive member and chairman of NCA North, Michael ‘Clarty’ Harrison, passed away on Monday 18th September.

Those who knew Michael will know he was very much a proponent of league rugby and a strong advocate of the role of the then NCA.

He was at the helm of rugby matters at Wharfedale RUFC as Chairman of Rugby for over 35 years. A former England Schools centre, he only ever played club rugby for Wharfedale and for many years was the club’s leading points scorer, amassed during his 600+ games for the club. A truly, great rugby man.

National League Rugby offers our deepest sympathies and condolences to Michael’s family, friends and everyone connected to Wharfedale at this sad time.
