National League: Club Watch
The second ‘Club Watch’ of 2019 is here and a number of teams have events coming up over the next month whilst some sides have kicked off the New Year on a positive note….
Bishops Stortford RFC
A member of Bishop’s Stortford’s Ladies side is part of a team aiming to raise more than £200,000 for Wooden Spoon. How are they doing this you may ask? Only climbing Mount Everest. Former England stars Andy Gomarsall, Ollie Phillips and Tamara Taylor will be joined by Welsh legend Shane Williams as they try to climb to the top of the mountain and play a game of rugby too!
Darlington Mowden Park
Saturday 26th January will be Doddie’5 Day at the Northern Echo Arena as Darlington will be welcoming Doddie Weir to the club. It will be a double header, with the National 1 side taking on Birmingham Moseley at 3pm, before the DMP Sharks play Firwood Waterloo in the Tyrrell’s Premier 15s. Darlington will be donating an impressive 50% of the ticket sales to the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation so it will be a great day out.
Now this looks like a fun day out!
