It’s that time of the week again where we look at some of the latest news and upcoming events from around our a number of our National Leagues teams. Here’s the next edition of Club Watch. 

National 1

Chinnor RFC

Chinnor will be having their very own Super Saturday on the 20th of October as Jeff Probyn will visit the club as a guest speaker prior to their game against Old Elthamians later on that day.

There will be a three-course meal too at the ground and additionally, there will be a Classic Rock band. Prices are £35 per person or £315 for a table of 10.

Darlington Mowden Park RFC

Darlington Mowden Park are drumming up interest for their extremely popular Ladies Day that will be taking place on Saturday 27th of October.

As part of a double header at the Northern Echo Arena, attendees will be able to watch Mowden Park take on Chinnor as well as the DMP Sharks against Wasps.

Plymouth Albion

Plymouth Albion have announced that their October half-term rugby camp will be taking place at Plymstock Albion Oaks RFC from the 23rd of October until the 25th.

For boys and girls aged 6-16, it seems like these camps have much to offer in the local community. Reasonably priced too, the cost will be £20 for one day, £25 for two days and £30 for all three days.

National 2 North

Macclesfield RUFC

Macclesfield are encouraging any of their former players to put their boots back on to play against one another on Saturday afternoon.

Teams will be selected on the day prior to a 3:30pm kick off. Following the game, there will be a chance for the players to socialise at the club bar afterwards.

Peterborough Lions RUFC

Peterborough Lions will be having their 10th annual fireworks display on the 4th of November. Gates for the event will open at 3pm as there will be a FunFair, BBQ and a bar. Tickets will be £4 for adults, £2.50 for children and £10 for a family.

Sedgley Park

Sedgely Park will be the venue of a Cabaret Evening on the 16th of November and with tickets priced at just £15, it seems this will be an attractive prospect at Park Lane.

Singer and guitarist Alec Townsend will be the main attraction on the evening, where there will also be a lamb hotpot and a raffle.

National 2 South

Guernsey Raiders

Guernsey welcomed ActionAid Guernsey to their game against Clifton to raise money as part of the Indonesia Tsunami Appeal that the charity is running. The UK Government recently announced that they would be matching the first £2m donated to the appeal.

Henley Hawks Rugby Club

Henley was the location for a Quilter Rugby Kids First and Juniors festival on Sunday. Plenty of local clubs were in attendance as Quilter held similar camps across the country in order to grow the game.

Old Albanian RFC

Old Albanian are running a competition, in which winners will win two tickets to see England take on Japan at Twickenham in the Autumn internationals. To enter the competition, you must be; a member or a player or parent at the club. You must also have signed up to the newsletter and follow the club on social media.
