October’s penultimate edition of  ‘Club Watch’ is here and as we head into November, expect some fireworks on and off the pitch. Let’s find out what some of our National Leagues clubs have got coming up…

National 1

Bishop’s Stortford RFC

Bishop’s Stortford will be hosting their fireworks night on Saturday 3rd November. With a family ticket costing £18, adult and unaccompanied child tickets at £8 and accompanied children costing £5, it seems like this fireworks night will be worth the money.

Doors for the event will open at 5pm and the display will start at 7pm. There will also be a fun fair, BBQ, bar and live music.

Darlington Mowden Park

Darlington Mowden Park have ramped up the promotion of their own fireworks night on Sunday 4th November. After a very successful event in 2017, that attracted 3500 people to the Northern Echo Arena, this year the capacity has been raised.

As well as a fireworks show, there will be live music, the headline act being America’s Got Talent finalist Courtney Hadwin. With tickets costing between £4-£7, it certainly seems like this will be a really enjoyable evening with some quality entertainment.

Rosslyn Park

Rosslyn Park will be the venue of the UK Armed Forces Women vs South Africa Women on Friday 2nd November. In what is likely to be a high quality game, admission is free, although it is suggested that attendees donate £5 per person with all proceeds going to the Royal British Legion.

National 2 North

Fylde Rugby

On Monday 5th November, Fylde will be hosting their fireworks night for the local community to come and enjoy. Organised by Lytham RoundTable, a charity who fund raise for their local community, this event will see proceeds go to a good cause.

Tickets in advance will be £2.50, but on the night, they will still only be £3.50 or £12 for a family of four. Gates will open at 6pm, with the display starting at 7:30pm. The entrance fee will allow attendees to enjoy food, beverages and fairground attractions.

Otley RFC

Otley are advertising for their pre-match lunch, prior to their home game against Tynedale this weekend. For only £10 per person, guests can enjoy a two course carvery lunch as well as a dessert. There is a special offer so that if someone books a table of 10, they get one place at the table free.

Preston Grasshoppers

Preston Grasshoppers have announced that tickets for their Midsummer’s Ball will be going on sale on 15th November. Taking place on July 21st 2019, the Ball will celebrate the 150th anniversary of Preston Grasshoppers being founded.

National 2 South

Clifton Rugby Club

There will be a comedy and curry night taking place this Friday at Clifton Rugby Club. Hosted by warm-up artist Cerys Nelmes m he headline act will be Ben Norris, who has appeared on Mock the Week and Never Mind the Buzzcocks. Tickets will be starting at £17.50. This price includes food as well as the entertainment.

Taunton Titans

Two former Taunton players have been selected to represent their countries in the upcoming Autumn Internationals. Ben Moon and Sam Skinner have been called-up for England and Scotland respectively. Moon played for Taunton all the way back in 2007/08, making 25 appearances as a 17-year-old.

Guernsey Raiders

The Raiders are hosting their very own fireworks night across the channel on Sunday 4th November. With entry costing £2, there will also be food, drink, glow sticks and sparklers for sale at Footes Lane.
